I was walking west on Bloor past Bathurst Street last night when I took at the space where Honest Ed's used to be. There's still nothing there, only a wire fence separating the space of the former Honest Ed's from Bathurst to the east and a more robust and lit pathway solidly blocked off to the north.

There are people who look at the northeast corner of Albert and Victoria in Regina who still feel a similar dislocation, I suspect.

Look up the story of the Plains Hotel and what was supposed to have followed its demolition...
