The Galleria Mall itself is in good conditions, its orange-brown tiles gleaming and its lights as bright as ever, but it is increasingly empty. Nearly all of the small independent shops which gave the mall such a pronounced local character are gone, moved to new homes elsewhere on Dupont or Dufferin or up on St. Clair or even as far as Etobicoke, or else closed down altogether. Almost all that there are left are the big anchor stores--FreshCo, Dollarama, Fabricland, Planet Fitness--at either end of the mall, separated by this long emptied spcaces.
