Yesterday, I received an E-mail from my parents, explaining that they hadn't bothered to try to dig themselves out, as that day was the second day of their third snowstorm in six days. Today, I looked up the news and found this item at the CBC:

The skies have cleared, but the biggest storm of 2005 left behind over 40 centimetres of snow, closing schools in the eastern part of the province on Tuesday, and leaving others running behind schedule.

Some Islanders had yet to see a snow plow, which were pulled off the roads at 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The Island has been hit with three storms in the last seven days and just over 100 centimetres of snow have fallen.

In Charlottetown a number of streets were down to a single lane, with crews trying to widen out the lanes. Many high snow banks cut off visibility at corners. That caused the Eastern School District to cancel classes for a second day.

My sympathies to you all.
