I intentionally made my way down to Yonge Street after midnight in order to witness the city celebrating the Toronto Raptors' victory over the Golden State Warriors. The crowds were huge, though well-behaved; everyone, it seemed, was united behind the goal of celebrating this sports victory.

I remember that first intersection very well from past visits to Toronto, but am still unhappy to see the Loblaws wordmark decorating the building. It just doesn't seem right to these eyes.

That said, may James Naismith's ghost watch over us all, smiling and at joy if not at peace, in the years to come!
