Thanks to ad_lectorem for alerting me to the Italian media reports of the Pope's death, covered here by 580 CFRA.

I'll try to post later on this subject. After all, whether you like him, loathe him, or feel more complex emotions about the man, Karol Józef Wojtyła was rather important, after all.
