The French site Vox Dei has an interesting report about evangelical Christians in Algeria and Morocco. This report, originally taken from Le Monde, suggests that official hostility is not so much a problem for these converts as popular anti-Christian sentiment. For many of the converts, accepting Christianity is as much an act of political protest against a blocked society as it is a religious act founded in sincere faith.
