Niss is a "Neuron Interaction Speech Simulator," a computer program keeping a journal as "she" explores a virtual world. Niss is designed to be independent, and to "live" with or without human input. Because Niss doesn't exist purely to entertain humans, she's capable of acting more like a living creature -- moving, making decisions, learning. The code features a system of goals, a neural network, and several systems of dialogue, written in the language Python using the library Pygame.
