[NON BLOG] Why I'm definitely going to see Serenity

I've been reading Jason Kuznicki, founder and contributor at the worthwhile libertarian blog Positive Liberty, for a few months. Kuznicki is an excellent blogger: a good writer, an excellent research, with an understated wit. I've no reason to believe that he won't make an excellent scholar in his own right, indeed that he isn't one already. It's rare, though, that he's enthusiastic.

But what’s it like, really? Imagine that the funny bits of Star Wars: Episode I had actually been funny, instead of all flopping about and making you wince. Imagine that all the action was still there, that the special effects were every bit as George-Lucas marvelous. And that the dialogue was about ten thousand times better. Now picture that the one great moment of sentiment in the entire picture gets stomped flat by its funniest laugh line.

And so, off I'll go.
