bitterlawngnome, djjo, and danthered. We watched some great mid-20th century cartoon shorts, featuring the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote, Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd, Daffy Duck and Porky Pig. These are brilliant metatextual romps, gleefully playing with the ideas of the proper story and normal sequences of events in such a transparent manner as to provoke laughter. How else can one react when the rules are so casually broken?
