Four episodes last night: "Comes the Inquisitor" and "The Fall of Night" from the end of Season 2, "Matters of Honor" and "Convictions" from Season 3. "The Fall of Night" and "Matters of Honor" were better than the episodes bracketing them, I think, but there was some charm in all of them.

Spoilers follow!

It says something about the non-congruency of Vorlon and human mentalities that, in "Comes the Inquisitor," the Vorlons think nothing of using as their emissary a converted and infamous serial killer. "This is your ally," [livejournal.com profile] finfin intoned after Kosh told Delenn that she might not survive the interrogation.

"Fall of Night" was strong, particularly from the perspective of an Earth Alliance fast selling whatever little moral credibility it had via the imposition of a police state at home and morally dubious alliances abroad. Angel-Kosh is nice. It also says much about the non-congruency of their morality with ours that they saw nothing wrong with editing us. "Matters of Honor" continued the theme.

Yes, the A plot of "Convictions" was weak. The secondary plot, of G'Kar's hatred for Londo, was both funny and terribly interesting. The Centauri so need a Willy Brandt. "Centauri forces of liberation on the Narn homeworld," indeed.
