Yesterday evening was rather cooler and wetter than I would have wanted, below 20 degrees and rainy. The clouds, it was pointed out to me, were so low as to touch towers in Yorkville just a couple dozen stories above the ground. Still, it was walkable, and the clouds and the wet did produce interesting effects.

The sky at Yonge and Eglinton last night was gorgeous, blue fading to pink on the southern and western horizons through the towers.

Apr. 12th, 2019 10:40 pmConstruction of the Eglinton Crosstown continues to wreak havoc with, among other places, the crosswalks at Yonge and Eglinton.
Toronto had several centimetres of spring snow fall today, a last gasp of winter at the start of spring. The city below did look nice from the rooftop patio of the Yonge-Eglinton Centre, the snow lightly covering the changing city beyond. Construction on the Eglinton Crosstown LRT line was visible below, as is the Eglinton station itself as it undergoes work, preparing to become an interchange station come the Crosstown's completion in 2021.
The sky that I could see above me at Yonge and Eglinton Saturday afternoon was the most perfect blue I could imagine.
Yesterday was a glorious evening, bright until late and full of blue sky.
