Walking home yesterday on Dovercourt Road in the autumnal chill, I snapped a few quick photos on my Huawei of some of the green things still about. Climate change aside, this epoch of greenery will be the last this year.
The colourful berries of this yew tree guarding the front yard punctuate the street nicely.

The first clue I had that this tree next to the Belarusian Greek Orthodox Church of St Ephrasinia of Polatsk at Dovercourt and Hallam was an apple tree and was still full of apples was when I saw on apple lying on the ground next to the curb. (No, I didn't try it.)

There was something so absurd about the spring of purple-flowered weed emerging squarely in the middle of this ornamental cedar that I had to take a picture.
