The warm weather we've been having--much too warm for Toronto in February--has seen much of the snow that has come down melt away. What remained reminded me of some of the terrains of the outer solar system, of icy worlds like Callisto or Titan with terrains made of water ice as hard as rock in their cryogenic temperatures.
