Re that Star column: this middle-aged bi woman has been glad to see the politicians march since it first started happening, because 20 years ago, the message "this person wants our votes more than they fear losing the bigots'" meant quite a bit. Another thing about the corporatization is that it means Pride doesn't need me to be out there marching, which is just as well since I don't deal with the heat very well these days.
